Default Speedometer Help Needed...

I have a 1991 Powerquest Conquest 230 with a 454 and a Bravo One and my speedometer isn't working. I looked at the manual that come with the boat and was able to trace the tube back to the outdrive where I noticed it hanging freely and not connected to the little plastic tab. I blew an air gun throught the tube so I know I have the right one. The book shows that it connects to the top of the speedo tab, but there is already another tube hooked to it which goes rearward and seems to be going into the drive. I don't see where my speedo tube would connect unless something is broke off? I also thought that mabe the tube broke and the the piece that is still attached and that seems to running into the drive really isn't. I tried pulling on it but it is either really connected or just stuck.

Does anyone know if there are actually two tubes connecting to the speedo tab on the outdrive (one going rearward into the drive and one going to the guage)? My book only show one tube, but I may have the wrong book...

The speedo tube is on the back of the gauge and on the front part of a Bravo on top of the lower housing ,,,or on the transom with a plastic pick up .
On a Volvo ithink its in the gimbal itself ,,but not shure.

And there is only 1 !!!!

Default Figured it out....

It looks like who ever did work on the outdrive last was an idiot... The speedo tube was cut and when they put the drive back together they pinched the small portion of the tube that was still connected to the pilot. I realized this once I pulled on it with some needle nose pliars and it came off. Anyway, I just replaced the pilot and hooked up the speedo tube. Hopefully it works this weekend.

Thanks for the reply....
