The big Man was an offshore racing legend!!!!!!

Family and friends may pay their respects on Friday, May 15th from 5pm-9pm and Saturday, May 16th from 10am to 12 pm at Taylor and Modeen Funeral Home 250 Center Street, Jupiter, FL with reception to follow. In leau of flowers, the family asks that a charitable contribution be made to United We Race, LLC., 7555A Gardens Road, Riviera Beach, FL 33405 to benefit American Veterans.

In light of all that's happened, it would have been understandable if Scotty wanted to sit out this next race in Lake Cumberland. But when Marc called, he explained it like this.

"Yesterday we didn’t think they would make it, but Big John would have been really pissed if he caused them to miss a race, so we’ll be there. The boat and crew will get to the lake on Thursday or Friday but Scotty, Jim Black and I will be leaving Florida at 6pm on Saturday night, landing in Louisville around 11pm and then driving to the Lake. We'll be there to race on Sunday morning." The Spirit lives on...

The Lake Cumberland Grand Prix will be Dedicated to the Memory of John Begovich. May he rest in peace.
