Let me just say that this stuff works great! It will be the only polish that I use from now on on the boat and cars.
My transom had been badly stained from soot from one engine (changed plugs and fuel filters and problem solved), I bought it that way. I ended up having to use Simple Green to remove the soot but still had bad staining. For the stains I ended up using DuPont 1900S buffing compound and rubbing by hand as it was the only way to get around the drives, cables, and exhaust tips. I followed up by applying Re-Structure marine polish to the entire transom. It brought back the surface to a shiny like new condition, whereas before the gel was dull from abrasive use trying to remove soot stains. You can feel and see the surface and it is rock hard. A 12 oz. bottle will last for years.
Thanks John P. at Re-Structure
