I am repowering a 33 and considering switiching to shortys withv five blades.

Any suggestions??

What year is it?
I just put -2 imco's on my 33 and picked up considerable speed. It's pretty rough to get on plane though, pretty much sound like a race boat taking off. I'm using 4 blade bravo's so the 5 blades would likelly fix that.

was thinking of going to 5 blade 26pitch

what kind of power are you using, gear ratio, and prop size

My engines dynoed at 673 @ 5800. I'm running 1.5 bravo's with 4 blade bravo props. I'm seriously considering getting some p5x's but I'm not sure I want to come off of the money right now

How short did you go, one or two inches?

What speeds are you seeing before and after?

What size prop are you running now?
