Default Hey West Michigan guys, anyone know this boat?

34' Scarab III on ebay It looks pretty good from the pics. I know the current bid won't buy it, but who knows?

Does that mean it's slow? or a recent import?

I saw that boat at a marina in Holland Mi. when I rode with a buddy there to pick up his 38 Scarab, I looked at it and it was rough on the exterior and was on a home made trailer axled trailer, which also needed attention, never saw it in the water or saw the interior though.....Fred

Fred, was it a case of the hull needing buffed? or scratches? The hours are low for the age of the boat and the intirior looks good. I just may have to get up to Holland before this auction is over.

I just remember the molded on or bolted on type factory swim platform was painted with a brush....or looked like it was, the rest of the boat didn't leave me with a warm fuzzy feeling either,...and I am a Scarab owning boat person, it would be worth looking at if you could buy it right, as far as being surveyed at 60k I don't know about that,...Fred

Thanks Fred, I may just pass on that boat. Unless it goes very cheap, but it's getting a little late in the year to start a winter project.

I've seen the slug boat too. Bet it's got dryrot like my old Wellcraft did. Sounds like it should be insured then backed into a tree!
