Default Water pressure?

I got a 502mpi built to a 515 but does anyone know what the water pressure should be. I have just changed the impeller yesterday. I am seeing only 10psi at wot..

Also what is the best place to plumb water pressure into block?
thanks

For the best flow and best cooling 18 psi is what you need.
You need a blow off valve to rid the additional pressure over board if your exceeding 18 psi.

Hope that helps,.........
As for my source,..............race team that spent alot of money to have these answer's and were nice enough to share them with me.

you can tap for a gauge off the block drain .....some complaints of the tube getting clogged with trash off the block .... some tap it off the inake .... 10 psi seems low at WOT .. are you running a T stat? .....m

I run my presure taps off the back of the intake manifold. tired of cleaning the crap out of them down at the block taps. Found no difference pressure wise at either location. Just my thoughts.

Most of the stuff Ive seen they take the water/air off the back and run it to the front outlets,My Hustler Whipple kit runs it over board with around 3 1/6 hose, this is suppose to get the steam pockets/cool the rear of the heads better,You can see the little hose fittings in the back of the intake ,these dump overboard.

I hooked my water press at the crossover,You can see it under the innercooler plumbing

You can see on my Scarab Littlefield blower motor the rear is plumed into the front outlets, its a T # 12 then to the headers.
hope this helps

If your running a pressure sender on the exhaust side of the thermostat housing you will NOT get accurate readings .....
