Took the boat out for the first time this year. Cruised around mostly, and then did two wide open runs for about 20 seconds long a piece. After these runs, oil is pushing from the hollow end of the dipstick. This motor is freshly rebuilt, only has dyno time and 3 hours of water time. I did pull the breather hoses, which i have one coming off of each valve cover, teed up to the aircleaner. They were full of gunk and condensation. I'm assuming they plugged up enough for the crankcase to pressurize. Any ideas? I plan on giving the boat back to the shop. I don't think there should be that much condensation in the breather lines unless there is a problem of some sort.

After having the boat down for 2 months last season, and spending the money i did to rebuild the motor, for the same problem, i'll be dropping it off and picking it up when it's done. I'm not gonna spend half my summer troubleshooting.
I'm just frustrated, i dealt with this for half a summer last year, spent alot of money to get the problem fixed, and now i've got the same thing again. I was looking forward to running this thing all winter, and the first time out i have problems again. Just venting guys.

Sorry to here about the problems not going away after a rebuild, Just some times things like this happens, Sounds like the shop should go by the service manual "book" from A to Z in testing the engine out till they find something wrong with the engine, Then try to fix what they find. What was you engine oil pressure at while running? they will want to know that at drop off time I am sure. Good luck with it.

I agree. I have a line coming off of each valve cover, goes to a -8 AN tee, then goes up to my flame arrestor nipple. I don't know if that is not venting properly, or creating a vaccuum. But i think the real problem may be why am i getting so much condensation in the breather lines, that they eventually plug up with snot.

I don't have too many options for breathers in my valve covers, the stock intake plenum is over the covers and there is little clearance.
