Default Pre Lube

Are many people using any sort of Pre Lube system ? I bought and installed two. It seems like a great idea but I hear very little about anyone using them.

For me, seeing oil pressure prior to starting the motors for the first run of spring was comforting.

Default home Made Pre-Lube

I put together a collection of items consisting of pump, check valve, and hoses. My pump cycles on at 20 psi and off at 40 psi and I normally run the pump for about 5 minutes before starting engine, about the same time as the bilge blowers.

What system do you use?

I am using a Preluber pump on a switch and run it for 30-sec or a min after I see oil psi.. Then roll the motor over and fire.

I am using a MASTERLUBE Pre Luber. It's easy to install and works great.

I have had the Accusump system for about six years

http://www.cantonracingproducts.com/...&category=2412

nice to see oil pressure before you crank it after a four month lay-up

this system allows you to run the sump a quart low which keeps the crank high and dry

I am running an ESP pre-luber. Best thing I ever did. Makes alot of sense to me, to get oil flowing before the engine fires up. It also makes changing oil a breeze. I simply disconnect 1 line, put the end in a bucket and turn on the pump.

Wouldn't your engine have to be assembled for that?? You need to stop building other peoples drives and get your boat together. Dont worry, with any luck, mine wont be blown up by the time you get here and you'll get a ride.

I am also running the same ESP pre-luber setup and I am happy with it. I also use it for easy oil changes.

It can ordered from here: http://www.pre-luber.com/
