I used my roto Zip with the circle cutter u can use the saber bits,
if its real thick use a carbide its just a lot slower the sabers cut fast

Yes I got your check. I deposited it last week the day before I headed out to Florida. I was waiting for one more check to come in and it arrived yesterday. Now I can make my min. orders. So I hope to have your speakers out to ya soon.

As far as cutting out the speaker opening I ussually either use a roto zip (can be a little scarry) or Saber saw. I tape up the whole area real well before starting and also tape up the bottom of the tool so that you do not stratch anything with a sharp piece of fiber glass. If I use a saw I use Laminate Cutting bits. They cut on the down stroke and keep the glass from chipping. You have to be carefull with them as they some times cause the saw to jump up so a liberal down force is recommended and ussually higher saw speeds are prefered even though it tends to burn up the blade faster it keeps the saw from jumping.

Thanks for the information. I have been thinking about buying a roto zip. What do you mean about scary? I normally would use a saber saw. I had the saber saw lift when I was cutting a hole for a compass on my Checkmate. It shattered the gel coat. Luckily the compass base covered that mistake. I keep a lot of pressure on the saw now.

What I mean is that they can take off on you with little to no notice if they grab and you are not ready for it. Always go in I think it is a clock wise direction. Also with the saber saw bit just use a fine blade and you will not bite so hard.

Using a sabre saw I found that using a fine metal bit works good depending on the glass you where cutting. What would we do without the rotozip or the dremel tool?!!!
