I echo Too Old's comments. However, I did speak to one of the principals of Apache last summer and he told me that the weight of the boat has come down, its not as heavy as it used to be. I think because of materials advancement and some different techniques. He even said that the 28 is also available in a step hull version that they were testing and would do great on Single BB power. I'd love to have one of the new 28's with some juiced up small blocks
