I had a soft alarm this weekend, I ran a scan and had 34 and 44 then when I just ran it on the hose the MAP (code 34) was within range 2.78. the manual says if you have a code and it is within range it is a intermittent ground issue. Code 44 is knock not detected, the connection at the sensor looked a little dirty so that might be it, but the manual also says it may be a open circuit or ground issue.
I have been having wierd intermittenet issues with fuel pressure and the motor shutting off so I think all the problems are related to a ground issue. I cleaned all the terminals at the back of the block(both sides) are there any other grounds? the voltmeter on the dash never fluctuates from 13.5 volts.
The sensors appear to be grounded to ecm is the ecm grounded to the terminals on the block or somewhere else?
also could a bad MAP cause low fuel pressure and the motor to cut off? The manual says the ecm would give a generic voltage readingif the MAP is bad.
