Default take off blow out

I am not sure what is going on. I put a mirage plus 23p on my 1988mirage 217 ( 454 330hp b1 1:50). If I apply the gas on take off the nose climbs real high and the prop blows out. This is my first boat of this style so im not sure what is going on. If I walk it on to plane real nice like all is well. The prop is missing the vent plugs but I have thru hull exaust so Im not sure it matters.

Any Ideas?

Get some vent plugs or make your own. I've expieremented with many different props, and my Checkmate blows out when I leave the plugs out also. Plug them up totally.

Yup.

There is always ambient air present and leaks to induce more air through the drive. The pressure differential is amazing.

We have the plugs in stock if you want to go with the actual stuff.

I used to argue all the time that it vents didn't matter when you have thru-hulls. I learned the hard way they do.
