Default Spinelli star 14-3/4 27 pitch 4 blade...

Does anyone know how the center of the prop is assembled? It is suppose to be a solid hub prop and it is but it actually looks like a pressed in insert. With the drive in gear you can spin the prop. The prop shaft stays still but the center of the prop or hub is spinning in the prop. It is not the standard torque flow hub, it looks like something by spinelli.

I am curious if it is repairable.

Thanks for any help!

Sounds like it has a rubber hub that has been spun. Needs a new hub installed. If it is a solid hub you should be able to see where it has been welded in place. If it's rubber, replace it with a solid hub. Rubber hubs go south quick on a four blade with a torquey motor.

I have a feeling it is rubber hub, there are no signs of weld. A buddy from MI Wheel picked it up to bring in to work tomorrow. At first glance that is what he thinks it is.

It didnt last trying to get on plane.

Thanks!
