Is Catalina Island worth checking out if you've never been there? I have next Thursday to kill and thought about hopping the jet over there with a friend. Any thoughts?

Great little place to blaze over for lunch and a couple of drinks if you're not driving a boat back. I would say go for it, take the day and relax.

X 2 good place to get away from the same old thing every day. Plus they need the extra money also to keep the place up and running.

absolutely worth it! I'd recommend taking the helicoptor over. Once you're there you won't regret going! Always reminds me of a different country when we're there. Hard to believe Youre right off the ca coast.

Forget the helo, take the high speed ferry. It's a great trip. Almost everytime I have made the trip, we have run into all sorts of sea life. Everything from pods of dolphin, ranging in the hundreds, to whales. It's a great 45min ride.
