Couple questions, what should the alternator gauge read while running? Both of mine read 14 to the charge side. Both batteries 3 weeks old. Is this normal? Stock alternators.
2 batteries with 2 Perko's, do you run them both on #1 or both on BOTH?
I have no need for 2 gauges on dash that went to trim senders, what would you install in its place? Oil temps, water pressure etc. ?
Boat is 30' Baja with mild carb 454's (469 hp) with crossover cooling, Gil exhaust.
Thanks for any insight and suggestions.

Mine always read about 14.... i tested once by disconnecting the alternators and they both dropped to a shade under 12....
i run with both of my switches in the "1" position.
If you got the space for two gauges, I would say first choice would be fuel psi. If that went, it would get catastrophic in a hurry. or water psi would be good info too.... depends on what you are after. I dont have much use for my oil temps, they never read much beyond the minimum on the sweep anyway. Just my $.02
