Default “Operation Dry Water”, a nationwide BUI/OUI abatement day

See http://www.magnetmail.net/actions/em...roup_id=346532 for information on Operation Dry Water scheduled to take place on the weekend of June 26-28. “Operation Dry Water”, a nationwide BUI/OUI abatement day is being organized in all 50 states. This effort was initiated by OUI officers, the USCG, and NASBLA. This one weekend sobriety patrol “push” is intended to raise public awareness of the hazards of boating under the influence by conducting focused OUI/BUI patrols or checkpoints collectively nationwide over a single weekend

I saw 2 at about 10 pm sat nite. Not sure if it was related or not, police prescence usually follows big events on the Potomac River.
Tims Rivershore (local restaurant) had their before the 4th fireworks show.

Got stopped Friday night at the 10 mm. Had a DD so we were on our way in a few mintues. We then watched them pull over tons of boats from the condo balcony. Anyone know how many arrest were made at LOTO over the weekend.

First 3 weeks of June saw big CG presence at Peoria, IL on the Illinois River. Very big presence for the boat races on the 19th. They did stop several boats for going too fast in the no wake zone near downtown. Lots of regulars dock and raft up there so most were glad to see some enforcement. The Marpol sticker was a big item they were checking for.
