Default Removing Overspray from Imron paint

OK, so I decided to paint the ladder on my trailer on a windy day. I masked off the bow of the cat and when I was finished and removed the plastic there is ALOT of overspray all over the bow and a clear line where the plastic was. There is even some under where the plastic covered. The boat is painted with Imron paint. Is there something I can use to remove this aireosol spray can paint overspray without damaging the Imron. Please no comments on how stupid I am, I have a gun in my mouth right now.

Try white rubbing compound. It should remove the overspray without any damage to the Imron.

i had an Fairlane at my shop in for some minor touch ups and while it was sitting in my lot some schmuck who shall remain nameless (it was Packinair) shot a can of black rustolium with a BB gun off my dumpster. Well the paint sprayed straight up i the air and blanketed the entire car. Unfortunately i did not catch it but my customer did but only after sitting in the sun for a day. Luckily he is a good guy and knew i would take care of it (after kicking Scotts azz of course). At the time i knew buffing it all off would cause a huge mess so i got a hold of my paint supplier to see what the had, they gave me a bar of overspray/detail clay and McGuires spray detail to try on it and i gotta tell ya that stuff worked great. Basically warm up the clay in your hands so it it formable and sptitz the detailer on the surface then use the clay to erase the paint off. It actually worked pretty good and just took a slight wheeling after that. Learned two things that day . . . that clay is worth whatever they want for it . . . and keep BB guns away from . . . well . . . we wont bring up names here

So how many times did you shoot Scott with the BB gun?

I can see the newspaper article now.

Northeast man arrives at Hospital with numerous whelps that resemble small metal pellets and a boot that had to be surgically removed from his azz.....Witnesses say he was pushed out of a small 3 wheeled vehicle moving at a high rate of speed in front of the ER.
He's in fair, but stable condition.

I'm sure you'll never hear the end Packinair....

Another excuse for Dave to have an assistant, He warms the clay between a really nice set of boobbbies.

Imron 5000 is a polyurethane enamel, so you can clean it with Lacquer Thinner and cause no problems... That should remove your overspray instantly.

I would start with a clay bar and Meguiars Final Inspection as the lubricant and see if this will accomplish anything. If your overspray has too long to dry the clay bar trick becomes less helpful.
