my balancer on my gen 6 454 looks questionable due to some corrosion, i got ahold of a gen 4 externally balanced balancer and think it will work on my gen 6? i think the timing marks may be off but i can remark that pretty easy i think. anyone know for sure if this will work?

The balancer should be the same. The flywheels from mark IV to gen V-VI are different. The timing mark should be in the proper place, if it's not it may have spen on the rubber. My advice is to break down and buy a new one. If money is an issue Profeffonail products sells one for less than $75.00. It's cheap insurance. I've seen a lot of wasted parts because of a bad balancer.

the balancer will fit and be ok, but I have seen some gen VI with the timing marks in a diff place so that could be a issue..Rob
