Default Advise on new truck

Have had Fords with diesels since day one in 1983 as my personal trucks. Had 1 Chevy diesel old 6.2 didn't like it, had 4 Dodge w/Cummins like drive train not keen on truck itself.

Have 2006 Ford with 111,000 and today was the 11th time it got taken to the shop for a host of things from electric, to EGR, injectors, brain, etc, etc today they say it's inj cyl #6 and the EGR is shot.

Time to dump this truck!!! Didn't mind it too bad when Ford paid the bills, but Joe don't like too!!!!

Any pro's or cons with the new Ford, Chevy or Dodge?

Read some problems w / Dodge & emissions, the Ford, heard some issues as well, the Chevy heard nothing bad - opinos please but only with the new trucks.

Thanks!

6.0...junk

6.7s have problems. IMO the seats are lame.

I have heard alot of good things about the new Dmax. Hardly anything negative. comfy insides.

and the 6.4 ford, well, its hit and miss.

I just got a 06 dmax with the allison and love it.

not sure if we can post other forums in this one, but heres a good one im a member of

Joe check out these Dodge 6.7 forums before you make a decision;

If you want a 5.9 I have a 2006 quad cab dually for sale.

The Duramax and Allison transmission are the way to go. Unfortunatley I still hear to many hit and miss stories with the Ford's. Some people love em, others get one that is problematic.

D-Max and Allison is the only way to go!

Another site with a wealth of info is dieselplace.com.

Get a 04-present duramax.. The motors are bullet proof, the ally trans is prob the strongest out there.... Also for being a 1 ton truck they ride like caddys compared to the rest

The chevy dealer called tonight with the right truck so I'm leaning that way. How roomy are they compared to the Ford, the back seat in the Ford is huge?
