Default 454 forged crank

I am looking at putting an old sidemount whipple on my 454. Just looking for some input as to will the stock forged crankshaft hold or should I look into an after market bottom end.

stock GM forged cranks are very good..better than a lot of the atfermarket ones till you get to the $2500 and more units..
