I have started my search for a used 288 MCOB. Most of the ones I have seen do not have the bow fill in cushion. Was this an option on older models? If so is it an expensive add, and what has to be done to add to a non-equipped boat?
Are there typical problem areas to look for on these boats?

288 MCOB's debuted in 2003, 32 MCOB's came out in 04. The fairing changes in 05 from a smooth round front to a square front in the newer model. In the 288 the hull goes from a partial step in 04 to a full step in 05.
Good luck.....

If you can swing it I'd look for 05 or later, that way you pretty much have the current hull, as Jupiter indicates in his post.
Good luck in your search. You won't find better support from the factory with any other boat.

Engine,
There is a guy in your neck of the woods Ken, goes by Absolutely. He has a mcob and can give you the low down. The factory support you get from sunsation is second to none, period! If I were you I would sign up on the Sunsation Forum and try for some answers over there. OSO is very slow lately.
