Hi, i recebtlyfound a couple of 270 Hp V8 Mercruiser diesel motors...was wondering if someone has any info on reliability and others on them...Was thinking for a fast repowering of my 36 project...just for the summer but i am concerned about the weight of them..

I 'think' they were based on the Powerstroke 7.3...one of the most reliable engines you can find. They will add lots of weight (somewhere around 800+ lbs over a BBC think).

Want to ship me one? ;-) Would go nicely in my 'fat' heavy boat!
