Has anybody built their own data cable for a MEFI 3 or reverse engineerd a commercial one.

I have tried this setup but i doesn´t work (might have done wrong... or a non working serial port). http://www.home.aone.net.au/~techedge/vehicle/2tran.gif

I´m in a hurry as one of the engines is running awfully rich...
