I am about to put a mark V 525sc 1994' in my boat in place of the old mark IV 454. I am going to order the canton 22-592 remote oil filter adapter to repace the mark IV bolt on style.my problem is that the male filter nipple that the adapter spins on to is not on the block.Does anyone know where I can get one? thanks.

If I am understanding you correctly you are talking about the piece that bolts on to the engine block at the filter location. They bolt on with two 5/16 bolts I'm pretty cetain. There are two different types. The newer style has the bypass for the oil pressure and the old does not. These are available on ebay and several other automotive stores etc. Hope this is what you are refering to.

Tino,
If I am correct, the GenV uses a straight nipple screwed right into the center of the pad, like the GEN 6 ? I have purchased them from the local Chevy dealer. Just have them look one up for a 2000 Chevy truck 454.
I think the part number is 3853870, but not certain. That is what I have in my computer for a Gen 6 filter adapter.
