Default Hydromotive P-5 26pitch and Velocity 260

Just order a nice new p-5 26 pitch for my 2001 260 Velocity.. Powered with a NA 540 Dyno @662..Bravo XR Drive.
I am not looking for every last drop of speed.. Want good time to plane, and most important the best "ride" in rough chop.. Nice mid range and good handling.

Anyone else running something similar? Most people I spoke to are split between a quad4 hydro or p-5.. Did I make the right decision for the $$??

I am on Norman in Kings Point marina next to Midtown..
I Currently have a bravo 1 26.. Used to run a Hydro Q4 and have to admit the hydro seemed to work good.

Anyone out there running a 5 blade with a similar setup??

not exactly the same type of boat, but i have a p5x on a 22' v-hull with a strong 4 liter omc outboard. great mid range cruise (4500 rpm at 58 mph gps) good top end 80gps @ 6800.

I had a p-5 on my Kryptonite. Pad bottom boat, 800hp.

I didnt like it at all. The boat would chine walk terribly from 84 on, regardless of the water I was in. I threw a blade on it last weekend and picked up a Bravo 1. Had it out today, the boat was on rails all the way up to 97mph, and was still pulling hard. no chine walk at all.

I guess I just didnt like the stern lift that the Hydro gave me.
