Default 272 buying advice

My wife and I are looking at purchasing a 272. I have read to be watchful of delamination under the rear seats and the mounts for the seats to the floor. I was also informed the mid ninties 272 have a lot of wood in the interior. When did they go away from this? Any other helpful advice?

Were looking at getting one with a 454 mag or 502.

Get a complete marine survey. There is no substitute for a professional marine survey of any boat you intend to purchase.

You can find a marine surveyor in your area at this site. It will be the best $400 dollars or so that you can spend.

Baja never got away from wood in the interior. Never heard of delamination under the rear seats that is pretty solid area...I'd be more worried about transom rot or stringer rot due to open areas in the fiberglass from drilling holes and screws.

Where in MI are you located? I owned a 272 for 4yrs great boat.

If you want one with a 502 then mine may be the one. It has 730 hp and 785 fpt all new procharged. I will sell without power.
