Default Baja Shipping Cover Question

I have a shipping cover question for those in the know..... I was told the 275 Performance will fit our 26OL. Is this true OH guys?

Baja 275 Performance w/Windscreen Shipping

Baja 275 Performance w/Windshield Shipping

Thanks for your help!

It may fit?? But I think you are mistaken on what you are asking.

Baja's came with a "Shipping Cover" used for shipping from factory and to protect from elements and storage on the lot. But by no means will it hold up over say a year of weather. Made of white plastic exterior with felt interior, has two wratchet straps on each side.

Do you Mean the "trailering cover" that is much more durable? Made from a Sunbrella material, usually grey in color. These are the ones dealers sold as Covers.

Anyway back to your question, will it fit?? Probably not well, you may need to add some tie downs, a 275 is about 1.3' longer than a 26 OL not including swim platforms on either. If its between this and no cover well then any cover is better than no cover!

Hope this helps

WILL

Baja Will, I am thinking of the correct cover... we do have both, red trailering cover and white shipping cover. The trailing cover is not water proof and has stitching right across the windscreen and hatches. (we in the process of making a windscreen cover/protector) These leave some bad rub marks. Where as the shipping cover is water proof and easier on the gel and plastic. But like you said they are not made of durable material and will not last very long. But when we take long road trips we like the piece of mind knowing everything will be kept dry and clean.

I am also kicking the idea around of having a local boat cover shop make us one off the measurements and make it durable and water proof.

" a 275 is about 1.3' longer than a 26 OL" that is what I was also thinking when they told it will work. I just do not want to get a cover that will do nothing for us. And I am confused why I can find every other cover but the 26OL!

Our boat is babied like on other.... we almost hate putting it in the water that is how bad/nuts we are.
