Default Plumbing water lines

OK guys, I have a real dumb question for you all. I have owned a few jet boats and this is my first outdrive (TRS). I am building the boat and the previous owner only had a circulating water pump with a water pickup located on the bottom of the hull. My question is do I need to run another type of water pump? Also i was wondering if anyone had a link to a diagram for how the water lines should be run. Thanks for the help in advance.

OK,,,,dumb answer.....lol

What waterpump is on there now ?? are u talking about the one that is bolted on the front of the engine ,,like on a car ???

Then u need a raw water pump. Side mount on the lower left side if u are looking at the front of the engine.

The way i run mine is as follows.
water pick up to seastrainer ,then raw water pump, then in oil cooler for tranny, then in engine oilcooler ( bellhousing style ) ,then out the otherside in steering cooler and then in engine ,thru the crossover ( where the original front mount circulating pump is / was ) , then thru engine in exhaust and out it goes.

HOPE THAT HELPS !!!!

Daredevil,
I;m still not following. Yes I have a waterpump like a car would. I see you have a crossover so can I just run another pump and ditch the car style pump?

Yes,,,,buy a crossover kit and no mater what u need a raw water pump with an impeller on the engine .

Look in the classifieds or here in the swapshop and u know what i am talking about.

I can take some more pictures or draw on a piece of paper how the lines run .
