Default SBI needs to promote Michigan City race

Couple of weeks till race & have not heard or seen any advertising in Chicago. Being that this is the first race there & since Chicago is 45 minutes away one would think they would want to attract new fans as well as entries to the sport. The teams are doing they're part, SBI needs to do step up.

Racers- Be safe & hope for flat water.. See ya there

We've run ads in the Chicago Tribune and Indianapolis Star on our end and plan to run a few more in the coming days. We've also been getting good word of mouth from some of the boat clubs in the Chicago area.
I've heard from a LOT of folks coming from northern Ontario, Wisconsin, Minnesotta, Ohio ... all over the Midwest. Let's make this race the best of the season so far!

I heard a lot of good things about Mich City looking forward to racing there. First stop is going to have to be the Casino... The show is less then 2 weeks away.

We've run several color ads in the Star, but it's been difficult getting them to write anything story-wise.

Jason- Thanks for your efforts. I assume this not the only project you have on your plate. I'm sure most of the local marine community will attend but the average joe needs to know as well. Whoever brings the race should bear the responsibility to let Joe know. Most motorsports lack in this area except NASCAR & look how popular that became.

Advertising brings fans.
Fans bring sponsors.
Race teams need sponsors.
More sponsors = more teams.
More teams = better racing.
Better racing = more fans..........
