Hey Donzi Dude.I had a 2001 33 zx with 502's loaded. It was a great Boat and would run out about 76 mph but had to go to a set of rev 4 props to get the heavy thing on plane. It just wasn't big enough. If your on LOTO you might want think about going bigger because thats a rough enviroment!!Good luck

I have a 2004 33ZX with twin 496/HOs she is a heavy boat and will handle rough water a lot better then a 28ZX, I run the N/E Atlantic Ocean or Barnegat Bay. Never an Issue, My wife loves the cabin. The 38ZX is a bigger and even heavier boat. My problem with the 38ZX is I am only 5ft7 and to see over the dash is a big problem, I am very happy with the 33ZX PS she weighs 9800 lbs dry. So the most I get is 74MPH.
below is my 33ZX in the ocean with 3-5s under me.

Sounds good , been thinking about getting a test drive in the 33, can be had for a lot less $ than a 38

You will NOT be sorry you went with the 38!!!

And you can find a 38 for about the same price.

Good Luck - awesome boat!!

Where is there a 33zx for sale for under 38k in good shape? that sounds awfully low for a 33zx.. Are you sure it is not a different model? Or an early Zx?? J
