Exclamation Ugly's Poker Run - Cancelled?!

Well I was looking forward to watching all of you guys run on Aug. 8th, but word on the street from Ugly's today is that the run is cancelled.

Apparently sponsors pulled the plug and Ugly's didn't want to foot the bill entirely. They said "...maybe next year".

does this have to be expensive to do? if they just broke even on the event the bar sales would be huge. I think people just want to do it and lack of big prize money is Ok. my 2cents.

Absolutely. They never have been serious about the poker run and it shows. I got my packet to enter last Thursday. They need to get the information out early and often. Could be a great time. I've never thrown a run but I do know a few who have and they were very successful. Just don't get it?! In my opinion it could be done early in the summer and participation could be even better.

Are there any other poker runs on Grand during the year? I know you E-dockers get out and rock and roll, but didn't know if there were other official poker runs.
