Recently converted my MYCO to BrakeRite EOH. Everything on the trailer, lights, brakes works great but I keep getting the "Trailer Disconnected" warning from the integrated brake controller. (2005 F250 with factory brake controller). Have checked ground and even run an extra ground wire from the truck to the trailer. Also installed the Brakerite SD Converter P/N 4845900 (before I installed this, when I hit the brakes the reverse lights would come on).
Discussed with Brakerite but they were no help.
Any ideas???? Thanks

If memory serves me right the problem is with the factory built in controller in the truck. Seems that folks were having a lot of problems with it in both the Ford and the GM models.
Do yourself a favor and invest in a MaxBrake controller and you will be VERY happy. I did not have a built in unit and when with the P3 which was nice but switched over to the MaxBrake based on reports I had read and it is AWESOME.
It's very smooth and the truck and trailer stop as one.
Good luck

My brakerite works perfectly with a 06 F-350 and a 08 F-450. Do not install an aftermarket controller. The Tow command ford is the best by far. It is intergrated into the computer to assist in braking and shifting. It still sounds like a ground issue. I have had the same issue and it was the grounding lug on the trailer frame. GREAT SYSTEM

The Ford controller works good with some systems but not good with others. I ended up going to an aftermarket controller for my truck and it works good. The Ford one had a slight delay and you couldn't control it. Finally it just started running the pump whenever the ignition was turned on. It worked good with another trailer with 1 different brand Electric over Hydraulic unit. So it all depends on what system you have on your trailer. I was told there are some kits to improve Fords controller on certain systems, but none was available for mine.
