I have put some of the gatlin mufflers on my 25 eagle eliminator. I was going to run the rubber flaps that go on the end of the tips to keep the water from going back in with a wave or whatever. They look ugly as heck back there. So i got the internal tip flappers put in between the tail pipe and tip. Will those internal flappers be sufficient, or do i need the end flaps as well?

Should be ok. Make sure they don't fall out.

Any other opinions on this????

I run both. You may think it looks lame now but you will be one pissed off man when you have to re-build your engine because of reversion. I would strongly recommend using both styles. IMO they really don't look that bad.

Internal by themselves will be fine.

I need to replace my internal flappers any idea's on where to get them?

What's ugly is engine damage from water ingestion.

Your cam and type of exhaust system will have allot to do with whether or not you need external flappers.

I'm kind of suprised anybody wouldn't just install them as extra protection for $20.00 to a $20,000+ engine. I even go as far as surfing the wake as I'm comming off of plane so I don't have that big surge of water hit my flappers. Better safe then sorry.

I "surf" too. Coming off plane I can hear the gurgling sound when the water starts to cover the exhaust. I always give'r just a little throttle to blow the water back, then level out.
