Default 3 blades suck on my boat

Finally got a chance to try some 3 blades on my boat. Stock 27P mirage plus props.

Planing was terrible. If water was rough, forget it. at 4k rpm, boat did about 45mph. Top speed, was 66mph around 5k rpm.

Now the Labbed Maximus 26p props I have, work much better. Planing is good, 4k rpm gives me 54-56mph, and top speed is 71 at about 5100RPM.

I have tried a set of 26P bravos, but never got to go wot do to water being 4-5ft seas. But planed pretty good.

Trying to find a good prop that will turn around 5300RPM wot and carry the big heavy Formula.

Want to try some 25P Revolutions again, to get some more numbers. Those were the best planing so far, even planed easier than the maximus. Boat has TRS, notched transom, and drives mounted high for a trs boat.

In Choppy water, with the mirages, I couldnt plane with the 380 planes down. The props would just wash out. Had to keep them up and stern digging in order to get them to hook up.

Joe, Did you talk to Air Marine. They might have a set of Revolutions to try.
Do you still have the Maximus props?
