I have a 2000 290 PQ with a Lowrance depth gauge. Can anyone tell me where to get a replacement gage? I have been told that it is obsolete being 192 kHz. It would be almost impossible to replace the thru hull transducer due to where its located. Would anyone recommend an external transducer? Thanks

My 2000 formula has a Lowrance 3500 in-dash depth sounder that was working lousy so I replaced the trancducer - now it works great!! I put in a new Lowrance PD-N (192kz) which is like a hockey puck epoxied inside the hull. I found it on Ebay for about $25 new. I have also seen the head unit available there also. I'm sure you can find an external transducer there also.
