I have an 02 Outlaw with twin 6.2's (small blocks.) I'm not the smartest when it comes to boat engines, and I'm getting an alarm on the starboard immediatly after starting it and then about every two minutes after its been running. I had the problem at the end of last summer and it was because my drive lube was low. Not the case this time. Can't figure it out, any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

First off make sure all fluids are at proper operating level. I just had this same problem on my 33 OL and when I plugged it in it said I had low water pressure on the STBD engine. My first thought was the water pressure sensor becuase my engine temps were running at the right temps. I changed it, but it still tripped the alarm. I ended up backflushing the system and found a bunch of sand, seaweed, and small twigs which explained why it was reading low water pressure. I guess enough was passing through to keep the engine cool. I cleared it out and fixed the problem. Just a couple of things to check.

I am assuming that these 6.2's are 496 motors right?
They are funny with all the sensors. I had a friends with a 29 Fountain to fight an alarm two seasons and it turned out the be the engine ground.
