fly out and tow back ?

ALL U-Hauls have welded on 2" balls, which is probably not correct or ideal for your trailer. Most of the trucks are beat to death, and they are all underpowered for even their own empty weight; not to mention the governor which sometimes makes you a sitting duck on the freeway. I'd never attempt this.

Where are you flying out to? By the time you pay for the airline ticket, transportation to the van rental co. They're not usually at airports. Rental of the van, crappy fuel mileage on the way back, and alot of discomfort, what did you save? I've taken many long road trips to pick up alot of different things, cars, tractors, boats, ect. and it's much better knowing that the vehicle I'm driving is up to the task at hand. Why not just have it transported for you?
