a buddy of mine has a 252 Boss 97 model with a 502 pushing around 500 horse with stock outdrive at stock dimension. What is the best all around pitch prop? He says he is not happy with the 3 blade mirage. Thanks in advance.

His best bet is to call Bblades. Assuming that he is running 5000+ rpm with the 3 blade. He could go to a 4 blade bravo 1 wheel in a size smaller than what he currently has. If the wheel is a 23 I'd put on a 22 Bravo 1.
Bblades is still the best bet for the right propeller choice. They have a rental program so it is pretty much a no-risk deal.
