Default recomondations on coil-running crane hi 6m on non boosted motor

anyone have a recomondation for a coil, i am running a gen 6 454, 731 cam, air gap intake, holley 750..... also a crane hi-6m igntion. i would like to keep it as affordable as possible so i guess i am looking for best bang for the buck, not what is the best that is around.

Use the stock merc coil. I used an MSD coil once and it didn't last 2 seasons.

We are using the recommended Crane LX-92 with the Hi 6M box. Works great. Summit Racing still sells $63.95

yes best to follow the recommendations of the mfg on coil selection, crane coils and ign boxes are a good alternative to msd...

if you pull off a plug wire with that box and px-92 coil (or even a ps-91) and turn the motor over and let the spark arc to a ground it sounds and looks just like a welder, it's friggin Nasty, if it shocked you I Imagine you'd sh*t your pants...

I have a MSD high vibration coil that is several years old and still running strong. Think it is filled with epoxy instead of oil.
