I'm going to be arriving in Alexandria Bay on the 29th. I'm staying 'till Labor Day and I'll have the 34' Sutphen with me
Does anyone have any info/local knowledge that they could share....like high octane fuel, dock & dine, getting into Canada, border issues in general, places to anchor, places to visit, high perf marinas, nightlife, places to stay away from, etc.
thanks

Dennis,
If you need 93 there are two places in the bay to get it. Horizons which is next to the main dock area and Bonnie castle which is on the other end of town. Both easy to find. Going to Canada is not an issue as long as you have a passport to return, you must check in with Canada when entering and the US when returning. They have gotten very strict about this.
Most hang around Picton island bay and Potters beach, if it is windy Canoe Point on the tail end of Grindstone Island is nice.
The bay has a ton of bars and restaurants so you will be in the middle of it. Clayton which is up river is a little slower and IMO a nicer place to visit.
I will be on the river through labor day also, ping me and I would be happy to show you around.
Tim

We are at Hutchinsons Boat Works, located between the Riveredge and Bonnie Castle Resorts. A few other OSO'ers as well, stop by we would be glad to include you in a run around the area.
Where are you planing to stay when up here?
