Anyone know where the best place to launch a boat on smith mt lake? I'm selling my boat and have agreed to meet a a guy from New Orleans about half way to deliver the boat and take it for a ride. We have determined that smith mt. lake is about half way. However, I've never been there and don't have a clue where the best place would be to launch or even how to get there. Once I have a launch or marina location nailed down I can find my way there. I'll be coming from NY and he'll be coming from New Orleans so a place that is close for both of us would be nice. However, if one of us has to travel around the lake I'd prefer it be him. Thanks!!

Will, theres a nice ramp at the small marina just on the north/east side of the Bridge, opposite side of the road from where the Cove used tobe., should be easy to find.

I will look at the map for Kirch and find the closest one for him from Roanoke, even though I think that is it. As for me only need ramp 2 a year, Keep that baby in the lift.
