Default Daytona Race[course]...

Only a few more weeks!

Daytona Racecourse

Correct me if I mistaken, but if memory serves me correctly the race course was much further south last year. It looks like it will be centered around 92 this year. That's great for spectators, but geez...that's a going to be a long haul back to the wet pits, etc.

Coming up Soon! Can't wait!!

BD,
We'll see you there, we are looking into getting a room there for the weekend, so we will see. Hopefully the Manatee spotter plane stays aloft this year!

I hear ya, Dean! I don't want to see the underside of a moving plane that closely again!

We're 100% committed! We're there!

Can you see much from the beach? Or should I drag a boat all the way over there?

Nick,

I think you are right about the course, it is farther north. I guess it might have something to do with the Host hotel being the Ocean Walk, now in the center of the course. Difference in distance isn't but a couple of miles I think. It looks like the New South end is about where the North end was last year. Should be better for veiwing....

Cuda,
Viewing from the beach is not bad, but being elevated even a story would help a lot. We were on the beach last year and I thought it was a good deal. The swells were so big sometimes that the boats seemed to get swallowed up! It's cool though, they don't run too far offshore!

Puder,
LOL! Ya, that would be a plus...don't want a repeat plane incident!

Poker, Nasty
I agree, viewing should be much better. The pier would be a perfect place which should be on the course this year! Plus, there are much more in terms of hotels, bars and facilities where the race is this year!

Shor,
I'm going to have to consider that! I haven't been to lollipops in years! I'll have to bring the wife this time, though! She's been to strip clubs before!
