Default any gain in RPM with lighter weight oil?

would there be any gain in WOT engine RPM when switching from straight 40 weight oil to 25W40 weight Mercruiser oil?

A 40 weight is a 40 weight is a 40 weight. A straight 40 is just as heavy as a 25w-40.

...at 210 F.........................at temps over 210 a 25w40 thins less and at temps below 210 an SAE 40 is more viscous.
