Default Sterndrive engineering(SEI) lowers, anyone ever use one??

So I blew up my lower on the outboard last weekend, I can get this for about the same as rebuilding mine, and it has a 3 year warranty. Anyone ever use one of their Alphas, or Bravo replacments??

There's a couple running down on my lake. So far working like genuine Mercs. I'm going to buy 2 complete Alphas this winter do to all the positive feedback on them I've read on several other boards. Also heard to replace the impellors with the Merc ones before installing them. Been told the housings are stronger than the Merc ones. ?? Can't beat the price and 3 yr NO FAULT warrrenty. Not bad, run it with no gearlube, they replace it.

My bother in-law has a pair of their Alphas on a 26 Chris Craft behind Merc 260 hp. they have had two failures on the port drive. When they got it back from warr. repair they never cleaned the metal out of the drive. We tore the drive down after the second failure-when we got it back from repair, cleaned it and reassembled, all is well at this point.

OK, Just put a new pump on my blown drive 2 weeks ago, so I'll switch it over.
