Before you guys pack up for the Winter, think about what may be needed for interior updates or repairs. We specialize in cockpit and interior updates, but would gladly take care of those nagging rips and tears too. Don't wait till Spring.

TTT Doug did my Formula sunpad and it came out fantastic. I highly recommend him. I hope that funds allow for me to pull the rest of my interior this year and have it redone.

Before it does rip, what would you rec. for cleaning during the season and before storing it for the winter

I have a seam tear that needs to be fixed in my BTB port seats. I don;t like the lounge seats, and have thought about making another style there mounted on the same platform.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the prop Jon!

If you want to do the rest of your boat, what I am doing is taking a 20% deposit and doing the work over the winter. It gives people roughly 6 months to come up with the balance. Then you can go into spring with a fresh look and not have to wait. Let me know if you are interested.

I should be up in Burlington Wednesday of next week. I can take a look at what you have and come up with some ideas. When you pull your boat for the winter, I can fix you seam problem and have it back quickly or in the spring if you would like. If you can send me a closeup pic, that would be great. then I can give you an idea of what it would cost.

Thanks,
Doug

Most vinyl cleaners with UV protection and a conditioner will work well, but I would not use Armor All. Off the shelf I have used 3M, or Meguires. Just dont use anything with bleach, such as Soft Scrub. It will eat your threads over time. If things are in decent shape, dont be afraid to use a scrub brush in the seams. However, I am still a fan of using a wet towel to wipe things down after cleaning with a greasy feeling product. There are a few threads on this board where the details guys have made some recommendations too. You can also check out this link:

I bought a product recently that is supposed to go on newly cleaned uppholstery and keep it from remolding. Seems to work well. I'll have to get the name off it when I get back to my boat.

I always used westleys bleach white on my old boat and never had the stitching problems.

Guess I got lucky.

I do have a few things id like to clean up on the sutphen soon.
Little things that I dont want to become BIG things in the future.LOL

Thanks for the advise, I have a lot of white on my interior and there are a few marks where people get in and out so I will give it a try. I like the wet towel idea too, always woried about the scrub brushes.
