Default Zinc anodes for coolers/heat exchangers

What are you guys doing for zinc anodes in your oil coolers and closed cooling heat exchangers? I am rebuilding my motors and found none in the heat exchanger or the new oil coolers I purchased. I have heard of pencil anodes that replace a drain plug but are these big enough?

Mine came from http://www.aihti.com/ (teague's supplier) and they have beefy "pencil" anodes in each drain. Each cooler has at least two.
