can the sea water pump be successfly rebuilt and is it worth it , the housing were the fuel pump froze up any help would be appericated

ive done a few,of the shaft needs to be replaced i think i paid 200 with the bearings compared from 500 to 900 bucks..ck ebay i saw a newone on their for 480.00
