Been here in the San Diego area for a month (new job) and the family is back in the Chicago area.

I NEED to get out on the ocean or I will crack. Please don't make me take a ride on a sailboat (that was even hard to type) just to get my fix. Anyone in the area that can help me get my fix??? I will even row the boat is necessary!

Actually, a ride would be great, but I would also like to meet some boaters in the area. I am familiar with SCOPE, and will join up next year (once we are settled in). Anyone in San Diego?

Boomer 880 - I'm not an ocean guy (yet), just Havasu and the River. But my office is in Del Mar off the 15 at Del Mar Heights. Where are you?

Waite tell the scope guys get the sleepies out of their eyes. They are always very good hosts!!!! I am sure if you do not mind spending a hour or two in a car to head north to Newport you can get a ride with them. They are down a couple boats these days but I think a few just came back on line. Have fun. I will be out next weekend for two weeks myself.

Well you could go over to Coronado Island and sign up for a ride......it would be a 4 year ride though

Hey ! Sleeps gone from the eyes.... But ah... Thy boat is getting some TLC done to it at the moment.... I'd have most certainly invited you to come out with me... Actaully, theres a bunch o' folks head'in to the Yard House this weekend, perhaps they may speak up for themselves a bit later.....

Uncle... My office building is at the 805 and Mira Mesa (twin mirrored buildings).

Right now I am renting in the UTC area (~4 blocks from the mall).

Boomer, Check the SCOPE site www.SCOPEINFO.com There is a Catalina run comming up and Im sure you can catch a ride. I have two clients that may run there. If thy do Ill bring it up to them. SCOPE guys are good with that. Especailly now that you said the secret pass words "I have gas money" Not many Go Fast boats in San Diego. you'll have to travel but its worth it.
