I'm wanting a new cockpit cover made and the closest canvas shop is suggesting a product called Stamoid over Sunbrella. He says it will last longer and if it tears, the tear won't get bigger. It's almost like a vinyl offered in alot of colors.
Does anybody have any experience with this product?

Hey Steve......I have an entire cover made up for the Top Gun with the stuff......I had a sunbrella cover previously......The stamoid cover seems to be alot easier to clean and is holding up great......

I think the cost is about the same or maybe a little bit more....but it is alot easier to handle than the sunbrella.......lighter..........I would not buy another sunbrella cover after having this cover made up......

Thanks Spitfire, I didn't know about the stuff. Everybody else around here has Sunbrella. Easy cleaning would be a big plus.

I have sunbrella, works fine, but it is heavy. Never heard of the other.
