AfterMarket Exhaust????????

I recently was at Eliminator and got a performance magazine from them ,where they were talking about a 242 Baja that they put I think it was EMI Exhaust on this 502 and picked up 9 mph Does anyone know if this is actually possible to pick up that much MPH with just Exhaust????, Or is this just

Call Bob at Dana Marine and get the real story. This is a case where the magazine/advertiser relationship has been stretched to the max and some readers may be getting some not so accurate info??
PS: There is no ones exhaust on the market at any price that will increase the speed of a Baja 242 by 9mph! with no other changes to the power plant or drive setup!!

A few years back,,,i was at eddie marine talking to kenny..eddie that owns eddie marine has a 28'warlock with a 496 ho in it, kenny stated after a cam upgrade and with emi thunder exhaust and a new 28p four blade prop they picked up 9 mph on that boat..as for the baja i vote for the .9 mph and thats it..
